Bringing sexyback to Sydney

The Justin Timberlake rolled into town last night and we went along (thanks SONYBMG). It was a pretty good show - I'm not the hugest fan, but his live version of 'What Goes Around Comes Around' was absolutely sensational.
He's a killer dancer and a completely under-rated musician.

All in the line of duty...

The schmoozing part of my job has kicked off in earnest now, and last night was a showcase for SonyBMG's Rogue Traders.
They've just released their second album Better In The Dark and are pretty popular in Australia.
Those of you back in Blighty will recognise singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte as 'Izzy Hoyland' from Neighbours.
Regardless, new album sounds reasonable, show at the Enmore Theatre was great, drinks with the record company was welcome and a meet and greet with the band was a photo op in the making.

I've never met a cake I didn't like...

Yesterday I was treated to a belated (at my request) birthday extravaganza by Sammy and Leni.
The girls took me to a very swanky afternoon tea at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney hotel.
With Jasper Conran tea settings, impecable waiter service and stunning cakes and cucumber sarnies, it was a thoroughly decadent affair - especially since the first half of the day was spent working my arse off as the Aussie PM called Federal Election yesterday for six weeks time.
Anywhooooo...

Back to the swanky tea. I felt like I was in the Waldorf Hotel on The Strand in London. I had my first (and only until yesterday) afternoon tea there when I was 10. I loved it then and I'm a total convert now.
Here's what we had...

My only complaint is that I had so much sugar cursing through me that I didn't get a wink of sleep last night.
But it was totally worth it :-)

Only in the USA could someone be so blindly confident...

Introducing Butterfly Man...

These ads for my company have just been unearthed through the wonders of youTube.
To those of you overseas they may seem a bit random, but to the Aussies this is Chris Lilley, currently cracking us all up with Summer Heights High.
