The UK soaps always take the lions share of the ratings at this time of year, but this just made me chuckle ...

A little pre-Christmas break...

I'm just back from a quick six days in Phuket.
Thanks to an amazing seat sale by JetStar earlier this year, Bo and I managed to squeeze in our first ever trip to Thailand.
We've both been on the brink of collapse in recent weeks and months, the stress of the year, our jobs and the house having taken their toll, but this break totally revived us.
We ate wonderful Thai food, tried out the legendary Tuk Tuk taxis, shopped up a storm and managed a trip to Koh Phi Phi islands too.
It was fab!

Missy does the Spice Girls?!

Had the great good fortune to do some work for Warner music a couple of weeks back and they treated me to four tickets at the recent 'intimate' Missy Higgins show at the Sydney Ents Centre.
I was sceptical only because of the venue. I love Missy, and her 'On A Clear Night' is one of my top pics for 2007, but she's not really a stadium kinda girl.
But - it was a surprisingly intimate gig in the airport hanger-like entertainment centre.
She did all the hits, a couple of new tracks, flashed her bum (by mistake)and did a blistering snippet of the Spice Girls' '2 Become One'.
Top gig!
